Drum Lessons & COVID-19
I am currently accepting students for online drum lessons using Skype, Zoom or FaceTime. Register online and let me know what platform/app you prefer and your username or ID. A few students have already taken advantage of the online lesson platforms and it’s been great! Using recorded video, pdf attachments, and of course the online platforms, our lessons have been pretty seamless. I am here to help in any way that I can. A majority of my students over the years have used playing drums as stress relief, physical therapy, a simple break from everyday schedules, even as their music curriculum course in general, as well as just for fun.
This is such an interesting time for educators around the world. From public and private schools, instruction is changing and evolving. We’re all trying to learn quickly and play catch up to the great technology we have available right now. Although it’s not our normal routine, I believe this a turning point for all of us. I’ve delayed going online for 10 years simply because I felt like I was not properly equipped to do so. After these past few weeks, I learned that my drum studio setup has been equipped this whole time. I have 3 online platforms to use, the tools to provide (before and/or after) personal tutorial videos, sufficient lighting to help with visual content and online software to share and communicate information. I am really looking forward to using these online lessons to reach out and help as many students learn this great instrument.
Let’s continue to have fun and play drums!! :)
